your giclée editions

In giclée printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used,
so there is no visible dot pattern on the prints.

The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting.
Giclée (pronounced zhee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt,
which is how inkjet printers work, though it is far removed from the standard desktop printer.

My giclée reproductions are produced using the Canon's ImagePROGRAF.
The ImagePROGRAF is an exceptional, predictable giclée printer
with which truly superb results are consistently achieved.

The 12 colour pigment ink system with LUCIA inks offers
excellent colour fastness and stability with a wide colour gamut.
( Even with this high level of lightfastness, I would always keep prints out of direct sunlight).

1. The Photographic Capture

The journey from original artwork to limited edition print begins in the studio. Rather than relying on flat, lifeless digital scans, each piece is individually photographed using a premium medium-format Hasselblad H3D-39 camera, paired with the legendary HC 120mm F4 Macro lens.

Illuminated by a precise two-flash studio setup, this high-end optical approach captures the true soul of the artwork. By choosing photography over scanning, I preserve a magnificent sense of depth, and organic vitality. The result is a digital master that feels remarkably alive.

2. Museum-Grade Inks

Once captured, the artwork is brought to life using professional Canon LUCIA pigment inks. Unlike standard dye-based prints, this museum-grade, pigment system bonds deeply with the paper fibers to deliver an expansive colour gamut and rich, high-density blacks. Highly resistant to light, UV rays, and atmospheric damage, these inks ensure your investment retains its breathtaking vibrancy and detail for a lifetime, and of course beyond.

3. Pinnacle 310gsm Cotton Rag

A premium print demands an exceptional surface. I print exclusively on Pinnacle 310gsm Cotton Rag paper.

100% Cotton: Made from pure cotton linters, naturally acid-free and archival.

Luxury Weight: At 310gsm, the paper has a substantial, premium feel.

Tactile Fine Art Finish: The smooth, matte texture perfectly complements the depth captured by my Star of The Show Hasselblad system, mimicking the feel of the original artwork without glare.
